2018年の原宿店オープンから、店舗のアイコンとしてピジョンのモニュメントを手描けたTodd Francisが盟友のPorous Walkerと共に来日。レセプションパーティーではポートレートのライブペインティングをいたします。

about Todd Francis
Todd Francis is an American artist born and raised in Los Angeles. For the last three decades he has created memorable and iconic skateboard graphics for companies like Antihero (Todd created the original Eagle and Pigeon logos), Real, Spitfire, Stero and Element. In addition, Todd has partnered on signature design projects with respected brands such as Vans, HUF, Stance, Firestone Walker and Activision, and his studio art has been shown in galleries around the world. His work combines often-bleak humor with environmental and political themes, using a variety of media to convey his message. Todd's art has appeared in numerous skate, art and culture magazines including Penthouse, Juxtapoz, Vice, Monster Children, Complex and Thrasher.
Todd Francisは、ロサンゼルス生まれ・育ちのアメリカ人アーティスト。過去30年にわたり、Antihero（オリジナルのイーグルおよびピジョンのロゴを制作）、Real、Spitfire、Stereo、Elementといったブランドに向けて、記憶に残る象徴的なスケートボードグラフィックを数多く手がけてきた。
さらに、Vans、HUF、Stance、Firestone Walker、Activisionなどの著名ブランドとシグネチャーデザインプロジェクトで協働し、スタジオ作品は世界各地のギャラリーで展示されてきた。
彼の作品は、しばしば陰鬱さを帯びたユーモアと環境問題・政治的テーマを融合させ、多様なメディアを用いてメッセージを表現する点に特徴がある。
また、その作品はPenthouse、Juxtapoz、Vice、Monster Children、Complex、Thrasherといった数多くのスケート、アート、カルチャー誌に掲載されている。
about Porous Walker
Porous Walker is the alias of American born artist Jimmy DiMarcellis living in the Napa Valley, California.
Over the last 30 years Porous has combined absurd humorous one panel comics, animation, sculpture, clothing design, conceptual and performance art to create a unique and memorable brand. Porous has collaborated with many companies over the years such as HUF, Antihero, OJ wheels, Pit Viper and many more including having 4 signature model shoes with Lakai. Porous has had his work shown in galleries around the world, while at the same time working another full time job as Jimmy DiMarcellis, his full time job was as a Creative Marketing and Visual Arts Director for Francis Ford Coppola and Eleanor Coppola, where he designed and managed many projects as well as Art Directed several films for the couple.
Porous Walkerは、カリフォルニア州ナパバレーを拠点に活動するアメリカ生まれのアーティスト、Jimmy DiMarcellisの別名義である。
過去30年にわたり、ナンセンスでユーモラスな一コマ漫画、アニメーション、彫刻、衣服デザイン、コンセプチュアル・アート、パフォーマンスなどを横断しながら、独自かつ記憶に残る表現を築いてきた。
これまでにHUF、Antihero、OJ Wheels、Pit Viperをはじめとする多くのブランドとコラボレーションを行い、Lakaiではシグネチャーモデルのシューズを4足発表している。
また、作品は世界各地のギャラリーで展示されている一方で、「Jimmy DiMarcellis」としての活動では、Francis Ford CoppolaおよびEleanor Coppolaのもとでクリエイティブ・マーケティングおよびビジュアルアーツのディレクターを務め、数多くのプロジェクトの企画・デザインを手がけるとともに、両名の映画作品においてアートディレクションも担当してきた。
